B. Participation Type

1. If I choose “Abstract only” submission, do I need to submit a full paper?

There is no need to submit a full paper. No extra proceeding will be provided. The abstract will be saved on a shared drive for ICLCA delegates and will not be published online. You ONLY need to submit the Abstract. However, you still require to complete the Registration and Payment to entitle/confirm a presentation slot.

2. Can I change my submission type after submission?
Yes, you can. Please contact the Technical team (iclcatech@gmail.com) to assist you on this matter. Please state your Paper ID in the E-mail Subject when contacting us.

C. Abstract

1. Can I submit my Abstract in other languages?

Please submit the abstract in English only. Please submit your abstract in one paragraph and plain text via the COMET registration system (http://registration.sdewes.org/iclca21). There is No template for Abstract.

2. I do not receive the notification of abstract results.

Only the Corresponding author assigned by the submitting author during submission will receive acceptance notification. Please check the e-mail spam folder of the corresponding author. Alternatively, both the submitting author and corresponding authors can log in to the system to check the paper’s status.

3. Can I edit my abstract and author details after submission?

Yes, only the corresponding author and submitting author can edit the abstract and the details for authors. Please go to the paper list and click the ‘Gear’ icon (Settings) on your paper’s Top Right corner to edit the Abstract.

4. I am the corresponding author and submitting author. Why can’t edit my Abstract?

Your Abstract has likely been copy-pasted together with some formatting elements. To resolve these issues, please contact the system support team at e-mail: iclca20@sdewes.org.

Please cite your Paper ID in the e-mail Subject.

D. Publication in CET

1. I am only interested in publishing in CET without presenting my paper. Can I do so?
To be considered for publication in CET, the authors must present the paper during the conference. In case of an emergency, you may assign one of the co-authors as the representative to present.

2. Do I need to pay an extra fee for publishing in CET?

The registration fee has covered the registration and presentation of the paper(s) at the conference, which also covers the publication fee of One CET paper only. An additional fee applies for the second CET paper. Please login to the COMET system to check the additional fee.

3. Why the author needs to be responsible for the formatting of the CET paper?

We seek collaboration from the authors to produce a camera-ready document with proper formatting. An extra fee may be charged if the paper is poorly formatted.

4. The format of CET is strict. What are the tips?

Always use the correct template. Read the guideline in the template and guideline while preparing the full paper (you can find both documents in the COMET system). Please pay attention to the citation style, reference format, minimised redundant words. Please use the S.I. unit and its symbol correctly. Alternatively, you can refer to the published article in Vol. 83:  https://www.cetjournal.it/index.php/cet/issue/view/vol83

5. The editors may be perceived as too meticulous (or ridiculous). How could we reduce the number of revision round?

Please follow the instruction carefully in the template and pay attention to the details to refine the format accordingly. Please pay extra attention to the errors highlighted by the reviewer/editor before the re-submission (Note: The technical team will not help you edit those format errors, or it would incur extra charges).

6. Why my full paper is not accepted for CET publication?
For the paper to be accepted for publication in CET, the paper should satisfy all the following requirements:

i. Scopes of the study are suitable/acceptable for CET (you could refer to those previous volumes of CET published)

ii. The paper is revised as per the comments of editors and reviewers

iii. Complete the revision Before the Due Date; complete the Payment, and complete the Copyright Transfer Agreement.

E. Invitation to Special Issue

1. Are all the accepted submissions will be invited for the Special Issue (SI)? e.g. JCLEPRO.

No, this would depend on the scopes of the study. Invitation for submission to this SI will be made around November to December 2021. If you do not receive any invitation by 31 December 2021, it indicates that your paper has not been selected, and you may do a special request to secretariat@iclcaconf.com for further consideration.

2. What are the evaluation criteria to be invited for JCLEPRO SI?
The scopes are suitable for the SI (e.g. JCLEPRO). A paper evaluation and selection is facilitated with the full papers submitted (either Proceeding or CET full papers).

3. How would I know if my paper will stand a great chance to be considered/accepted for publication in the JCLEPRO SI once being invited/submitted?

Please note that all papers invited to the SI will still be subject to the standard review process. E.g., JCLEPRO has about 50% of desk rejection. It is recommended that you e-mail your manuscript to the technical team (iclcatech@gmail.com) for pre-screening before submitted to the journal; we will help check the paper.

4. How do I know whether I have been invited for SI in JCLEPRO?

All invited authors shall receive an invitation e-mail from the Guest Editors of the SI around November to December.

5. Can I reuse my content of CET for the SI e.g. for JCLEPRO?

No, this will be considered self-plagiarism. The authors need to significantly extend the works for a new contribution in further publication.  Please run a similarity check to avoid potential plagiarism issues.

F. Registration of Presentation and Payment

1. How do I proceed with the Registration and Payment?

The Registration of Presentation and Payment is now open at the COMET system (go to the Author tab, then click on REGISTRATION/FEE).
Please follows the detailed instruction given in the COMET system. Some important items:
i) Local participants from Malaysia can only use the bank transfer method.
ii) All the payment proof must be uploaded to the COMET system.
iii) Only the presenting author can register and make payment (please check the presenting author status of your paper, if you didn’t see the article you wish to register and make payment).
iv) The early invoice can be generated via the system as well.

For any query on payment and registration, please contact Assoc. Prof Dr Mazura Jusoh (Conference Bursar) at r-mazura@utm.my.

1. How the online presentation is going to be carried out?
More information will be released soon.

2. How can I change the presenter? Up to what latest date I could do so?

You could change the presenter by editing your Abstract in the COMET system. To edit the Abstract details, please go to the List of paper and click the Gear icon (Settings) on the Top Right corner of your paper ID. Note that only the corresponding author and submitting author can edit the Abstract and the authors’ details.
